As part of the October 10, 2018 "Imagine A Day Without Water" Campaign, local organizations are invited to tour The South Monmouth Regional Sewerage Authority Facilities on October 10, 2018, to Raise Awareness About the Value of Water.

October 10, 2018

The South Monmouth Regional Sewerage Authority is inviting local community groups, school classes, and organizations, and civic groups to tour its facilities on October 10, 2018, in recognition of Imagine A Day Without Water.

Most Americans take water for granted. They turn on the tap, and clean water flows out. They flush the toilet, and dirty water goes away. Most Americans hardly think twice about the infrastructure that brings water to their homes, and safely returns water to our environment – but they should.

We hope to rectify that by inviting local groups to see what is involved in bringing clean water to the homes, schools, and businesses of our community.

Water and wastewater infrastructure—from pipes to plants—is often out of sight and out of mind. It doesn’t need to be.

Taking advantage of this opportunity can not only provide participants with an exciting and educational day out, but it will also open their eyes to one of the most important aspects of making the modern world tick: delivering clean, safe water to the community.
